Mathilde Vilain XIIII is an of counsel at eMotio.law and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2016. She focuses her practice on public procurement and administrative law.

 

Mathilde has built a solid practice in public contract law, combining hands-on experience with strategic insight. She acts for both public and private clients in procurement planning, tendering, contract execution and litigation, with a particular focus on regulatory nuances and procedural rigour.

 

Her areas of expertise include:

  • Structuring and securing public procurement procedures on behalf of contracting authorities, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk prevention;
  • Analysing tender documents and guiding economic operators in responding effectively to calls for tenders;
  • Handling disputes arising during both the award and performance stages of public contracts, including urgent and technical litigation;
  • Advising on complex qualification, award and execution issues in public procurement, concessions, and PPPs, as well as broader public law matters involving administrative authorities.

 

Known for her precision, clarity and responsiveness, Mathilde is frequently invited to speak at sectoral events and delivers numerous public procurement training sessions — in both French and Dutch — which are valued for their accessibility and practical relevance.

 

Mathilde regularly contributes to legal scholarship in public procurement law.

 

Mathilde graduated from the University of Brussels (ULB) in 2016.
