Timothy Baete is a partner at eMotio.law and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2008.

Timothy is a multi-skilled lawyer with a strategic and analytical vision and the ability to handle complex matters. He has been advising private companies and public authorities in the mobility sector for over 10 years. He also regularly advises tech companies.

Timothy is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer:

• he assists domestic and international clients in resolving complex disputes, whether through principled negotiation, mediation, judicial proceedings or arbitration
• he is pragmatic and solution-oriented and has expertise in litigation strategy
• he also helps clients to implement risk management processes
• his areas of practice are: distribution litigation, corporate litigation (shareholders’ disputes, directors’ liability and post-acquisition claims), unfair competition, transport and logistics disputes, asset recovery, energy sector disputes and public policy litigation

Timothy also advises clients on structuring, negotiating and closing their projects:

• he is regularly involved in corporate, M&A and private equity projects (share purchase agreements, investment and subscription agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements)
• he assists clients in drafting international distribution agreements and sale and purchase agreements
• he advises private and public clients on infrastructure, passenger transport and freight forwarding projects

He graduated from the University of Brussels (ULB) in 2008.
